Learning is necessary for everyone but we all do it in different ways. Some people struggling to comprehend what they read despite being able to speak words very well. It’s vitally important that we allow all people to learn and contribute to our world. Unfortunately, current systems do no always allow. No one is stupid.
Lois Letchford is highly motivated to make reading fundamental for all learners. She teaches and writes about how important emotions are in learning. Her son struggled mightily when we has young and it took many years to figure out not that we was unintelligent, but that other ways of learning were more effective for him.
